Moorefield, WV (July 31, 2023) – Taylor Hospitality is pleased to welcome Amanda Auvil, as General Manager for the South Branch Inns in Moorefield and Romney. Amanda began her responsibilities on Monday, July 17.
Auvil began her career in hospitality in 2015 as the Assistant Manager at Extended Stay America in Fort Worth, Texas, and was quickly promoted to General Manager. While with Extended Stay America, Amanda used her leadership abilities to oversee day-to-day business operations, build up the company, and manage and budget profitability. In Spring of 2021, Amanda transitioned back to her role in management as General Manager for StayApt Suites in Greenville, South Carolina. There she was able to continue to provide professional leadership to all staff and serve as an ambassador to the community. Auvil was consistently monitoring the property’s condition and excelled at maintaining excellent ratings on social media.
A respected and dynamic leader, she was promoted to Task Force Manager within the same company and relocated to Matthews, North Carolina. Amanda excelled in strategic operations, assessment of the success of the hotels, and relationships with clients, managers, and the community. Her experience also includes time in the accounting department of a hospitality company where she was in charge of financial statements and reports.

At South Branch Inn Moorefield and Romney, Amanda will divide her time between the two properties, overseeing all employees, day-to-day operations, group sales, and many more areas. Both locations are a part of the beautiful Almost Heaven region of West Virginia, where the hills and valleys offer a wide range of outdoor activities. South Branch Inn Moorefield and Romney are currently in the process of a total hotel revitalization program that will involve room and amenity renovations, and the addition of a new restaurant in Moorefield, “South Branch Smokehouse,” that will serve locally-sourced meats and produce.
