Farmville, VA. (September 6, 2024) – Hotel Weyanoke is delighted to announce the appointment of Jennifer Louden as the new Director of Sales and Events. Bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record in managing and growing complex accounts, Louden joins the team ready to drive revenue goals and elevate the hotel’s events services.

Jennifer Louden is a dedicated leader with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Longwood University in Farmville, VA, where she graduated Cum Laude. Her connection to Farmville, through her alma mater, provides her with a unique advantage as she transitions to her new role at Hotel Weyanoke. Louden’s familiarity with the community and her network within the university will be instrumental in fostering robust local partnerships and enhancing the hotel’s presence in the area.

In her previous role, Louden excelled as an Inside Account Manager and TLS Program Analyst for Quantico Tactical, a veteran-owned, small business in NC. In these roles, Louden was responsible for market research, strategic analysis, proposal writing, data entry, contract management, and high-level customer service. Prior to her work in government sales, Louden worked for a small boutique in Pinehurst, NC. She created and launched the store’s first website, boosted social media interaction by over 50%, and established effective online and store branding strategies. Her proficiency in marketing and overall brand identity development will prove to be a strong asset to The Weyanoke.

The catalyst to her career in sales was a family-owned shoe store, Shoesters Luxury Footwear, located in Williamsburg, VA. After spending 7 years with the company, Louden credits Shoesters with fostering her love for small business.  Louden learned by example at Shoesters; acquiring invaluable business attributes including loyalty and reliability, as well as honest, friendly, and memorable customer service. These are core values that Louden will carry with her into her role at The Weyanoke.

Jennifer shared, “Both Farmville and The Weyanoke hold a special place in my heart. Nothing can compare to the sense of peace you feel sitting in the lobby watching the sun’s rays filter through the antique wavy glass windows as you sip morning coffee. The historic charm of this hotel evokes a deep sense of nostalgia and reminds everyone who passes through of a time long ago.” She continues, “I consider myself a steward to this historic property and this town. Getting to work at The Weyanoke is such a gift. I sincerely look forward to sharing this beautiful place with both locals and visitors from far and wide.”

Louden’s strong interpersonal skills, expertise in building cohesive teams, and knack for confident, clear communication make her a perfect fit for Hotel Weyanoke. Her proficiency in customer service and organizational skills ensure she will provide exceptional experiences for both guests and staff.

The Hotel Weyanoke Management Team collectively shared, “Jennifer’s extensive experience and impressive track record in managing complex accounts, coupled with her deep connection to the Farmville community through her alma mater, make her an exceptional addition to our team.”

Hotel Weyanoke is confident that Louden’s leadership and innovative approach will enhance the hotel’s reputation as a premier destination for events and accommodations, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our ever-growing team.
